Roger Federer has enthralled tennis fans for over two decades now. His style of play is something that every tennis fan looks up to. The Swiss maestro has achieved tremendous success with his attacking style of play. The 40-year-old has won 20 Grand Slam titles over his career spanning over two decades.

Federer is one of the few players who has consistently played at the top level for a long time. He hardly missed any major tournaments due to injuries for a major part of his career. However, the last year or two haven’t gone the way of the Swiss maestro. Federer has been suffering from a knee injury and has been sidelined from the tour for the last nine months. Recently, he provided a positive injury update.

Players react as Roger Federer provides a positive injury update

The Swiss maestro took to Instagram to update his fans about his rehabilitation process after undergoing knee surgery. Posting pictures of his light training sessions, he said, “Rehab is rockinggggggg.”

Reacting to this positive news by Federer, many fellow players expressed joy at the Swiss legend’s potential comeback to the sport. Fabio Fognini, who has played some memorable encounters against Federer, said, “Daiiii Rogeeerrrr… come back sooonnn.” Additionally, Andreas Seppi said, “Forzaaa.”

Further, his mixed doubles partner, Belinda Bencic reacted to this news with some fire emojis as she looked ecstatic about Federer’s potential return. Denis Shapovalov rejoiced the Swiss maestro’s positive injury update, saying, “Yesss!”. American tennis star Mackenzie McDonald said, “Let’s go Roggg.”

Earlier this year, Federer had announced his comeback at the Laver Cup which is scheduled to take place in September later this summer.
