Cody Rhodes Destroys Tony Khan and AEW’s Legitimacy in One Line: “This Moment, It Has Been a Long Time Since…”

Cody Rhodes is one of the most popular figures in the professional wrestling world right now. Since his departure from AEW, the former AEW Executive Vice President has been in the limelight continuously.

At WrestleMania 38, Cody shocked everyone by making his grand WWE return just weeks after leaving Tony Khan’s AEW. And on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, Cody indirectly fired a shot at Tony Khan and AEW.

He received a huge ovation from the crowd following his appearance on The Miz TV tonight.

During the segment, Cody said, “This moment, it has been a long time since I got to be in front of a crowd like this.”

Well, it is not that Cody had not performed in front of a live crowd since his exit from WWE almost six years ago.

He had a great time at AEW. But this statement from Cody tonight might not go down well with some AEW fans.

Further, Cody told The Miz, “Do I look the same to you? What do you think I have been doing for six years?”

“Every piece of that road provides me crystal clear clarity on not what I want to do, what I need to do. And that is to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship belt,” he added.

Cody Rhodes is all set to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

Last week on Raw, we saw Cody Rhodes tell an emotional story about Dusty Rhodes. After that, Cody mentioned he is prepared and finally ready to challenge for the WWE Championship.

The former WWE Intercontinental Championship noted he wants to win the title for the fans, for himself, for his family, and for his father, Dusty Rhodes.

At WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes proved he can go toe-to-toe with the top WWE superstars. On that night, he even got the better of the former WWE Champion, Seth Rollins.
