Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather‘s fight in the boxing ring might be one of the most publicized fights of all time, but there was a moment before the fight, which almost changed the entire course of the night. The UFC superstar made a colossal blunder just almost an hour before the fight.

The Irishman’s hands were wrapped up and ready to go when he forgot a critical bunch of necessities for his fight. He left his gear bag in his Las Vegas home, which consisted of various things such as his mouth guard, protective cup, and other essential items needed for the night.

With just 45 minutes left for the fight, going all the way to his house and coming back to the arena was nothing short of impossible. News of this mishap reached Floyd Mayweather and his team.
Mayweather then proceeded to give McGregor an extra protective cup stating, “Tell him he ain’t got to worry I’ve got a cup for him,” he said. “I brought an extra ’cause I knew he was going to say this s***. I brought an extra cup for him.”
This was a grand gesture from Floyd Mayweather to help Conor McGregor. However, this was also a part of business, as Mayweather and McGregor were both two halves of the same coin. The show couldn’t go on without either one of them.
The two of them might hate each other, given that they share similar qualities in wanting to be the best. But unfortunately, there can only be one King of the Jungle and hence began the feud between the two.
