Internet Shattering Update on Kawhi Leonard Just Before Clippers’ Play-In Battle Against Timberwolves
The Los Angeles Clippers have been impressive all season. Their star man Kawhi Leonard was out for the season and did not play even a single game. Paul George, another impactful player for the Clippers, also struggled with injuries and was not available for most of the season.
Despite the uncertainty and injuries in the squad, the Clippers have managed to qualify for the play-in tournament. They can surprise any opponent on their best day and are not an easy side to face. They have a fair chance to qualify for the playoffs. The Clippers might not be the best team on paper, but they have performed as a single unit all season.
The Clippers ended the regular season on a high. They won their last 5 games. Tyronn Lue got the best out of his players. They concluded as the 8th seed in the Western Conference.
Recently Norman Powell also was injured but they managed without him. Reggie Jackson and Terence Mann along with Robert Covington have made their marks this season and given the Clippers many good performances. Now Paul George and Norman Powell have returned, giving the Clippers some very much-needed firepower. Moreover, the latest news around their biggest gun, Kawhi Leonard will surely excite the Clippers fans.

Kawhi Leonard on his way to recovery
Leonard has been working on his fitness after the brutal ACL tear injury at the end of the 2020-21 season. The injury had sidelined him for the entirety of the 2021-22 season. There has not been much hope of a comeback from the star man and NBA veteran. However, the recent news brings some optimism. According to Bill Simmons, Kawhi Leonard has been playing 3 on 3 basketball.
“Kawhi, I’m hearing 3 on 3 with him,” Simmons said. “I haven’t heard 5 on 5. I don’t think there’s any way he comes back until we hear about him scrimmaging.”

The Clippers head coach Ty Lue stated four days ago that Kawhi Leonard was not playing 3 on 3. At the time, he was only participating in individual workouts. However, the recent report suggests that we might see the 2 time NBA champ soon on the court.
