Fans of the show were delighted to hear the voice of Christie – played by Barry Atsma – as Hannah’s mum Ruth called him for help.
Viewers will no doubt remember how Hannah – played by Nicola Stern – had an affair with Christie, destroying her marriage to Nathan.
Series three has followed the lawyer as she put off her divorce with her husband in the hopes that they would get back together.
The second episode of the new series saw Nathan – played by Nathan Stern – break his wife’s heart by revealing he was expecting a baby.

Hannah was left devastated by the news and struggled to process, tumbling into a downward spiral with her mental well-being.
Trashing her office and drunkenly revealing Nathan’s baby news at a public event, mum Ruth felt she had no choice but to step in.
Ruth – played by Deborah Findlay – was seen making a phone call, with Christie’s familiar voice being heard from the other side.
While Christie hasn’t been seen since series two, fans are expecting him to make his return to the show – much to their delight.

Last week, eagle-eyed fans thought they had spotted a mystery woman who may play a big role in upcoming episodes of the BBC drama.
Fans watched how beloved character, James Cutler (Rudi Dharmalingam), was hit by a car whilst riding his bike, and the family rushed to the hospital.
Unfortunately, the doctor delivered the terrible news that he died, with James’ wife Rose breaking down as Nina, Hannah and her mother Ruth support her.
As the family gathered themselves to leave the hospital, one woman gave Rose a long and suspicious look.
She passed the women in the corridor and looked directly at Rose until she passed them.
