“Kobe Bryant Will Always Be My Goat”: Magic Johnson’s Top-3 Players of All Time Enrages NBA Twitter

Magic Johnson is one of the greatest Laker of all time. Magic has played 13 seasons for the Lakers and won 5 championships in the run. He played the majority of his career alongside Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Kareem is a 6 time NBA champ and is one of the best players to ever play.

Ranking the GOAT is not as easy as it seems. Fans bring up Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James most of the time. Though when it comes to NBA players and legends raking their GOAT, sometimes they might have the fans in awe with their take. Recently, Magic became one of them.

Magic did not include Kobe Bryant in his Top 3 all-time greats

Kareem just turned 75 and players and fans around the league sent their best wishes. Magic is pretty close with his teammate Kareem, he appreciated his greatness on Twitter. In his tweet, he mentions that Kareem will always be in the GOAT debate alongside Jordan and LeBron. Fans were surprised as Magic did not mention Kobe for the GOAT discussion.

If Lebron in the goat conversation then add Kobe, Duncan, Bird and Youself. Stop letting the media fool y’all. Nobody that formed superteams at every stop and still has less rings than many greats is top 2. Nobody who guarantees 5,6,7 rings and wins 2 on a superteam is top 2

Bryant was a sports icon. Following the footsteps of Michael Jordan, he wanted to be the greatest player he could ever be while having the aim of winning 7 rings. Though not 7, Kobe gave the Lakers 5 championship titles, including a three-peat at the start of the 2000s.

Not only rings but Kobe holds historical performances under his name. Kobe was also the face of the league and had made the Lakers more popular than ever in the 2000s.

Kobe Bryant was a big Laker fan when he was young

When Kobe was just 6, he would watch Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Kareem, and all the other Lakers of the showtime era. He was a big-time fan of the franchise. Being such a huge fan since his childhood and being part of the organization for 20 years while giving fans so much to remember was part of his legacy.
