Mike Tyson Wanted Humble Australian UFC Fighter ‘Kicked in His Head’ Over a Simple Gesture

Following a successful title defense at UFC 271, the current UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya joined the legendary Mike Tyson for an insightful exchange of ideas and experiences in fighting on the latter’s podcast.

Furthermore, the duo along with co-host Sebastian Joseph-Day spoke about Adesanya’s journey to the top along with addressing the rumors surrounding Jake Paul on the Hotboxin podcast.

Mike Tyson advises Israel Adesanya

During the podcast ‘The Last Stylebender’ explained how the Australian, Robert Whittaker, succumbed to him before they even changed any blows. He said, “I get in the cage, the octagon, I wasn’t gonna touch him, he puts his hand out like he submitted to him and I remember just smacking his hand like I dabbed him”

‘Iron Mike’ responded to Adesanya’s words in true Mike Tyson fashion as he went on to say, “You should have kicked him in his head.”

The UFC middleweight champion further explained why he doesn’t touch gloves at the beginning of his fights. The Nigerian-born New Zealand- made fighter said, “That’s the first point of contact. You establish the range right away. So I don’t wanna touch gloves, I will establish the range my own way. I don’t wanna give my inch at all.”

Will we see the former heavyweight champion back in the ring?

In the course of the podcast, Adesanya cheekily brought up the rumors of Jake Paul and Logan Paul fighting ‘The Baddest Man on Planet’. However, Tyson dismissed these rumors and slammed the Paul brothers by saying, “Nah Nah, I will beat these f******!”.

It seems unlikely that we will see the former heavyweight champion in the squared circle. However, as for the UFC middleweight champion, Dana White, the President of UFC, has confirmed that Jared Cannonier will be next in line for Israel Adesanya.
