A MAN ran over a woman multiple times in a road-rage attack Tuesday after she tried to take pictures of his SUV.

Shocking video taken by a witness captured the moment when Vincent Jean, 56, drove his Mitsubishi SUV over the 23-year-old victim after a minor traffic incident.

Jean tried to leave the scene of the accident but noticed the woman trying to take pictures of his vehicle to identify him to police, said Union County Prosecutor William Daniel.

“At that point, the suspect drove his car directly at the victim and she began to run onto the lawn to avoid being struck,” said Daniel.

“The suspect drove onto the lawn and struck the victim, then drove over her before backing up and deliberately running her over a second time.”

Jean honked his horn as he drove onto the yard while the woman screamed before he fled in his vehicle, said Daniel. During the assault, a witness yelled for him to stop.

Police arrested Jean later that day as he sat in his damaged vehicle. He was charged with first-degree attempted murder and third-degree assault by auto.

Jean is currently being held at the Union County Jail awaiting a pretrial detention hearing, according to online records.

Convictions of these crimes in the first degree are usually punishable by terms of 10 to 20 years in state prison, according to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office.

Second-degree crimes carry a term of five to 10 years while third-degree is between three and five years.
