But one savvy woman, who is from the US, has proven that your dream gown doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
Taking to TikTok, Janelle Hultquist, who is from the US, shared a short clip where she could be seen trying on a long-sleeved lace dress she purchased for £12 from a thrift store.
Deciding to give it a new lease of life, she set to work giving it a modern update.
After cutting off the puff-shoulder sleeves, she took it in around the waist and added every woman’s dream feature – pockets.
