Mom’s simple tip makes mornings SO much easier but she’s slammed for it

DEPENDING on the parent, a child may or may not get to choose what they wear in the morning.

Well, some parents are taking this a step further and handpicking their kid’s clothes a week in advance.

In a video posted to her TikTok, mother, wife, and attorney Sarah Sevcech shared a parenting tip that some of her followers aren’t too fond of.

Sevcech likes to make pre-curated outfits for her son to choose from every morning.

The selected outfits are placed in ziplock bags, and there is one for every weekday.

The mom noted that her weekly routine has caused quite the uproar on TikTok.

Asking her followers for their input, she wanted to know if she was hindering her son’s self-expression as previous TikTok commenters have suggested, or if she was teaching him positive habits.

Despite the prior negative comments that the mom had apparently received, TikTok users praised her this time around.

“You’re making everyone’s life easier and anyone negative can go away. Great idea!” someone asserted.

Giving words of encouragement, another wrote: “I love it!! I think we all have to find what works for us, so if this works for y’all keep on keeping on.”

With a similar sentiment, someone said: “I’d do it lol. I think it’s a great idea. Of course someone has to have something negative to say… But do what’s best for you and your family.”

“If he likes it, then do it! It’s when he doesn’t want you to do it anymore, but you force it, that it would be limiting his self-expression,” someone answered the initial question.

Another person reinforced the benefits of the idea: “Positive habits for sure! My six-year-old and I pick out clothes for the whole week of school every Sunday afternoon and put them in an organizer.”

“I have two kids. I do this for one because they like it, the other prefers to pick out clothes so we do that together each evening. Whatever works!” a fellow parent commented.
