Singapore GP Up for Double F1 Race to Replace Cancelled Russian GP
The Russian GP was taken off the calendar even before the 2022 season got underway. The situation in Europe is the reason behind its axing from the season. However, now a new question poses itself. Which track should replace the canceled Russian GP?
There have been some very good names popping up to take its place on the calendar.
Which track will replace the Russian GP?
There have been a lot of talks lately about the tracks set to replace the Russian GP. However, there have been recent reports of Qatar and Singapore as the 2 front runners for the spot. The Russian GP was set to be a week before the race in Marina Bay, hence just adding another race there would save logistic costs.

The other realistic option would be to race in Qatar. A race placed close to the world cup would help bump up the viewership drastically. The calendar next year will potentially break the concord agreement of 24 races in a season, with the inclusion of Las Vegas, Qatar, and China.
