Zion Williamson’s Insane Practice Dunk Sends NBA Twitter Into a Frenzy
The New Orleans Pelicans are a battle to make it into the NBA playoffs. However, throughout the entire season, they have missed their most dominant offensive weapon. Ever since the start of the 2022 season, Zion Williamson has been out with a foot injury. Over the course of time, analysts showed their concerns as the Pelicans forward put on staggering weight. However, it seems like Williamson is getting back on track as he pulled off an insane 360 dunk during practice.
the Pelicans have been impressive this season as they battle the Spurs in the play-in tournament. Despite not having Zion, they managed to edge out a couple of big names in the Western conference to get a shot at the playoffs. Notably, Brandon Ingram and new arrival CJ McCollum have been a prolific duo for the organization. But while Williamson is out indefinitely, he is looking much lighter on his feet.
With all the complaints about his weight gain floating around, Williamson put a quick stop to the hate by showing off his insane aerial ability.

Zion Williamson has fans back on their feet
With Williamson gaining weight due to his injuries, the NBA world was not kind to him. He was subject to a lot of trolling as his rehab did not look promising in the initial stages. Even NBA analysts did not hold back against Williamson for not keeping a check on his weight. But now the energy in the building has changed. Williamson put all the hate to rest as he performed a 360-degree dunk during his practice. Likewise, fans went crazy on Twitter.
While many wrote out Zion from having a long career, the Pelicans forward is trying to flip the script. But how big of an issue is Zion’s weight?

Williamson is listed at 284lbs as of right now. However, it was evident that he is well past the point. Back in 2020, an NBA Insider revealed the forward could be well over 300lbs making him the third heaviest player behind Shaq and Yao Ming. While the size allows Williamson to dominate the smaller guards, his body will surely feel the toll. Williamson needs to keep his weight in check and be in much more controlled shape. But despite his weight concerns, Willamson has not lost out on his basketball abilities.

While weighing over 300 pounds, Williamson knows just how to dominate using his immense size. The Pelicans forward has been a force since entering the league. In his sophomore year, Willaimson even made the All-Star team averaging 27 points per game. Hence, there is no doubt he is a great basketball player. However, to stay at his best for long, Williamson needs to find the right balanced weight to support his huge frame. Do you think Zionw will stay with the Pelicans next season?
