One fun thing that has happened over the course of the last few weeks is that a user had got access to the game prior to its release. As fun as it may sound, the user had even progressed through certain levels and maps in the game. While the tweets are deleted at the moment, here are some of them which shows her journey with the pre-roll copy of the game.
However, it seems like this sweet journey of playing the GameBoy Advanced’s classic reboots is now over for the fan. Nintendo has revoked access to the game for the user and it seems like it’s gone until it’s officially released.

Nintendo revokes Switch user’s early access to the Advance Wars remake
As crazy as it may sound, Twitter user Rachael had documented her entire progress of playing Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp on social media and this had come into the notice of Nintendo officials.
Advance Wars was delayed because of the ongoing Ukraine crisis and the new update for a postponed release date has not been revealed so far.
In the further updates that were posted by the Twitter user, she said that Nintendo had sent her an email stating that they were canceling her purchase and refunding the money.
RE: #AdvanceWars, Nintendo have sent an email saying they’re cancelling my purchase and refunding. was fun while it lasted! got a few missions of the first game’s campaign done

The user acknowledged that the developers would not be able to revoke the player’s ability to play offline. However, at the same time, the user is also fully aware of the repercussions of playing the game illegally whilst receiving a refund.
RE: #AdvanceWars again, I’m aware they can’t revoke my ability to play it if I’m offline. at the same time, once they refund me for it, it would be illegal to still play… so there’s that…

The user had also stated that she had thought many other users also had access to the game at the same time and she did not expect her tweet about the gameplay to blow up on social media at all.
I’ve no idea why it’s letting me play, but as far as I’m concerned I paid 50 quid for this so I’m going with it

Well, it was a fun ride for the user who had great time getting exclusive access to Nintendo’s upcoming game. Do you think Nintendo should have revoked the access for the user? Let us know in the comments.
