Kourtney Kardashian kicks off 43rd birthday weekend with ‘explosion cake’ and special gift from Travis Barker

KOURTNEY Kardashian has started her birthday weekend off right with a Mickey-themed explosion cake and a bouquet of roses from her fiancé Travis Barker.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum embraced her inner Disney princess for the start of her 43rd.

Kourtney took to her Instagram stories on Thursday to share a glimpse at some of her birthday gifts from friends and family.

The reality star received several beautiful bouquets of flowers, most namely an arrangement of white and blush roses from Travis, 46.

The TV personality also documented a festive birthday cake, sculpted in the shape of Mickey Ears, covered in black sprinkles, and finished off with her name written in yellow icing.

Kourtney slowly sliced the cake in the clip, exposing white and red cake layers with white icing in between.

The Hulu star captioned her post: “Yummmm and yes I know I forgot the plate in the last slide,” as the cake scattered all over the kitchen counter.

Later, Kourtney channeled her inner Cinderella as she shared a snap of Travis putting a black heeled shoe on her foot.

The TV star collaged the image with a classic shot of the princess’s glass slipper.

FOOT FETISH?

But the photo came after fan backlash towards the couple for their excessive foot interactions on social media.

Late last year, Travis kissed Kourtney’s foot and posted the photo on his social media account.

He captioned the post: “All I want for Christmas.”

The mother of three replied in the comments: “You’ve been extra good.”

Fans, however, weren’t amused by the online gesture, and one wrote: “Please stop it.”

Another commented: “Travis wtf,” while a third said, “Yo what?”

Someone else added: “You have time to delete this.”

PDA PARADE

Critics have repeatedly begged the couple to ease up on their incessant PDA though they don’t appear to be stopping anytime soon.

On Kourtney’s birthday last April, Travis shared a video of her sucking his thumb as they shared an intimate moment.

The drummer posted several endearing photos of the couple smooching, cuddling, hugging, and holding hands to celebrate her birthday.

He videotaped the personal moment with Kourtney as the camera flashed in her face and she laughed, saying: “Travis!”

Travis captioned his post: “I F**KING LOVE YOU! YOU’RE A BLESSING TO THIS WORLD HAPPY BIRTHDAY @kourtneykardash.”

FRIENDS TO LOVERS

During the premiere of the famous family’s new Hulu series, The Kardashians, Kourtney opened up about how their love story began, admitting she made the first move.

The Poosh founder explained that things turned romantic with Travis in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Last year during the pandemic, we were texting and I just put it out there with, like, flirtatious conversation,” she said in the episode.

“Finally, once I made it known, he asked me to watch a movie and the whole movie he didn’t make a move.”

When the producer asked Kourtney who went in for the first kiss, she replied, “Me! I did. He was taking long time.

“The movie was over, and then we started another movie and I was like, ‘I don’t have time for this movie marathon,’ so I made the first move.”
