Kobe Bryant took Michael Jordan’s words seriously
In a game versus the Bulls, Bryant stepped up against Jordan. In one play, Jordan hit his signature fadeaway over Kobe, which had him curious. Kobe asked Michael about his fadeaway jump shot. Jordan gave him a great detailed answer and said, “If you need anything, just call”.
Kobe did not take these words lightly. Bryant would call Jordan in the middle of the night asking very specific questions. Jordan helped him and gave him great advice in return, though he wasn’t sure why he was doing it. Jordan’s teachings definitely guided Kobe to now being part of the GOAT conversation.
