Jennifer Garner’s childhood dreams came true after singer Donny Osmond surprised her with a singalong for her 50th birthday.
The actress is set to turn 50 on Sunday but received one of her presents a couple of days early after Donny, 64, turned up to a pre-birthday lunch and surprised her with a cake and his presence.
Jennifer was seen covering her face with her hands as Donny appeared behind her singing, with a cake that read ’13 going on 50’.
She was so overwhelmed by the moment that she whipped her jumper off, exclaiming: ‘I’m so hot, can I just take my sweater off.’
The 13 Going On 30 star told her followers: ‘My first (pre)birthday surprise was a doozy— the one and only, legend in his own time, object of my childhood adoration and devotion— @donnyosmond showed up to knock my purple socks off.
‘He took an hour and a half of his day to sit with me, sing my favourites, and to give me a master class on how to be a class act.

‘Thank you, Donny. Hi, @marieosmond. I hope to meet you someday, Debbie.’
Jennifer had first revealed her obsession with Donny in May 2019, after news presenter Katie Couric shared a video of Cher performing with The Osmonds in brightly coloured jumpsuits, adding: ‘If this doesn’t get you going this morning nothing will. Long live @cher and the Osmonds.’
Jennifer replied at the time: ‘My number one biggest crush of all time @donnyosmond,’ along with a kissing face emoji.
Donny then joked: ‘Miraculous that those jumpsuits didn’t scare you away,’ adding a screenshot and saying on his Instagram story: ‘You learn something new every day!’

The heartthrob then acknowledged Jennifer being in People’s annual Beautiful Issue, writing: ‘Congrats on being featured in @people’s #BeautifulIssue 2019, @jennifer.garner. No beauty shines greater than a good heart.’
Jennifer responded at the time: ‘1st Grade Jennifer is freaking out right now. I still love purple socks,’ referring to Donny’s trademark fashion statement.
