Sebastian Vettel Teases Potential Name for His 2022 Aston Martin Challenger- and It’s Not a Bond Girl!

Sebastian Vettel is a four-time world champion in Formula One and drives for the Aston Martin F1 team. He is known to name his cars before the start of every season and has done since the beginning of the season. But we are three races into the 2022 season, and Vettel has decided on no name for the AMR-22.

During the Australian Grand Prix weekend, the 4-time world champion was making his first start of the season after returning from Covid-19. But his return did not go as planned and he suffered many problems with his car throughout the weekend.

After stopping on FP1 in Melbourne, Seb ditched his car and go back to the pits on a scooter. During the fan meet, he joked maybe he should name his AMR-22 scooter.

“I don’t have one name yet. Awww… Maybe I should call it scooter, I don’t know,” said the Aston Martin driver. It is funny because the German driver probably spent more time on a scooter on day 1 in Melbourne than in his car.

Aston Martin team boss analyzes Sebastian Vettel crashes

Aston Martin team principal Mike Krack mentioned Vettel’s crashes in Melbourne were unusual. The German driver crashed twice on the weekend after seemingly losing the car out of nowhere.

“This is really something that we need to really look at, what car we provide him, what feedback he gets from the car. Because you will agree with me that him being off so much as he has been this weekend is not normal,” said Krack.

“So I think it will be really easy to say, ‘Ah, he was not there for two weekends.’ A driver of that class, we really need to check what tool we are giving him,” said the Aston Martin team boss.

It was really strange to see the four-time world champion crashing so much in Australia. As Krack revealed that there might be some inherent problem with the AMR-22. The team needs to detect the problem and solve it as soon as possible.

The British team is starting to lose ground on the midfield with every passing race and cannot afford to lose any more important points.
