VIDEO: Former MMA Champion Reacts Gingerly as Opponent Breaks Leg – “Don’t Skip Leg Day”

Former Bellator champion Will Brooks made a personal record recently. He finished the fastest fight of his long MMA career against Rafael Bastos at Art Of Scrap 4. ‘Ill Will’ defeated his opponent in merely 17 seconds. However, the American MMA fighter was not satisfied.

The reason behind his dissatisfaction was the way the fight ended. Brooks was on a comeback after a disappointing run in the UFC, as he lost all three of his fights. Although the win wasn’t all he wanted, in fact, he wanted to put on a show for the audience.

Brooks won the fight after his opponent couldn’t fight anymore after a checked kick from Brooks broke his leg. Bastos attempted one of the first kicks of the match, which was successfully checked by ‘Ill Will’. As a result, Bastos fell on the canvas and held his leg in visibly excruciating pain.

Got the win tonight.

Didn’t get the chance to put on a display.

Opponent threw a leg kick, I stepped down, checked properly, and he broke his leg on impact.

Happy for the W but a little disappointed I didn’t get to put on a performance.

Don’t throw dry kicks.
Don’t skip leg day.

Results of my fight last night.

Clearly, the veteran MMA star wasn’t pleased with the way the fight ended and wanted to display his skills. However, he still secured the fastest win of his career, and it will stay with him till he outdoes himself. Currently, he has a 23-5 record in MMA and is a dangerous lightweight fighter even at 35 years of age.

Will Brooks-Michael Chandler rivalry

Brooks might not be one of the most famous names in the industry right now, but he was once a force to be reckoned with. The 35-year-old became the Bellator lightweight champion and was one of the most dangerous fighters in the division for some time.

He joined UFC with a 17-1 professional record and was considered to be the upcoming face of the company. However, he had a disappointing run in the promotion and was offloaded after his first three fights, all losses.

But very few know about his rivalry with one of the biggest free-agent signings of the UFC, Michael Chandler. Chandler himself is a Bellator legend and has defeated many top names in the lightweight division.

Although Will Brooks evades that list and has an unbeaten 2-0 record against Chandler. Unsurprisingly, the two once had an intense rivalry and fought back-to-back fights in the space of six months.
