Michelle Williams has hinted at the possibility of a Destiny’s Child reunion, admitting that it’s something that may be in their minds but just never discussed.
Michelle rose to fame as one-third of DC, aka one of the most iconic girl groups of all time, alongside Beyonce and Kelly Rowland.
After years of topping the charts and giving us more fierce anthems than we can shake a stick at, the Independent Women hitmakers released their final album Destiny Fulfilled in 2004 and, despite reuniting a few times over the years for one-off performances, we’re still hanging on for that proper, full-on reunion.
Michelle, 42, has now claimed that such a thing may be on the cards, as she said: ‘I wonder if it’s on our mind, but it never comes out of our mouths.’
She added, to the New York Post: ‘As naturally as we talk about so many other things, when the time is right, it will naturally come up in conversation somehow.
‘We have fun together when we do decide to work with each other in that capacity. I don’t think either of us is opposed to it. It’s just, what’s the right opportunity? But I will say we haven’t had an official album out together in 17 years and for the questions to be asked now is really kind of awesome.

‘It makes me reflective of the obvious impact that we must have been made on the world.’
She added that Kelly and Bey are her ‘soulmates’, saying that what they have between them is ‘true love’.
‘Those are my soulmates to the point where, you know, I saw Beyonce the other day and I walked in and we have on the same shoes, the same jeans… And a friend of hers was like, “Are y’all about to go perform or do something?” It happens all the time.’
OK well, let’s just hope the next time the gals have matching ensembles, it’s because they’re on stage for that long-awaited comeback.

Last summer, fans of the Say My Name legends went into a frenzy when they believed a proper reunion was on the cards.
Speculation had been sparked that they were getting back together when it was spotted that the group had changed their header on social media shortly after Queen Bey had revealed she was back in the studio working on new music.
The group officially disbanded in 2006 after a farewell performance at the 2006 NBA All-Star Game, but over the years they’ve reunited a handful of times, including at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show and again in 2018 at Coachella during Beyonce’s historic set.

Michelle was recently back in our lives when she took part in The Masked Singer UK as one of the surprise celeb contestants.
The pop icon fooled us all as she was dressed as Rockhopper in the competition earlier this year, and she came in fourth place.
