“Nobody Is Kobe or Jordan”: NBA Twitter Goes Berserk as Fans Use Kobe Bryant Reference to Roast Ja Morant’s Teammate

Dillon Brooks was drafted as the 45th pick of the second round in 2017. While he has constantly worked at his craft and improved over the years, he is not the most liked player in the NBA. Especially by rival fans.

In the 2021-22 season, Dillon Brooks was only available for 32 games. And, averaged 18.4 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game, and 2.8 assists per game.

First and foremost nobody is Kobe or Jordan so they shouldn’t be used in same sentence as anybody ! They were that good for real !!!! CLUTCH

While he had a decent outing against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Grizzlies’ first game of the first round of playoffs, fans were still trolling him on Twitter. Dillon, wearing the #24 jersey, made the fans roast him with Kobe Bryant references. But others didn’t want his name in the same sentence as Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan.

Fans also rejoiced at the prospect of seeing Patrick Beverley and Dillon Brooks playing against each other in the playoffs. The Grizzlies lost the game as the score read 130-117.

Can Ja Morant and the Grizzlies eliminate the Timberwolves?

Dillon Brooks scored 24 points against the Wolves, which was the second best for the Grizzlies, only behind Ja Morant’s 32 points. He also had an FG% of 50 and 3P% of 75. And, Desmond Bane scored 17 points in 33 minutes.

The Grizzlies aren’t the most efficient team from the 3-point line. And they lost the 3-point game to the Wolves by 48 to 21. The Wolves made 16 of 41 shots from the 3-point line while the Grizzlies could only make 7 of 27 attempts.

Jaren Jackson Jr had 12 points and 7 blocks while only playing 24 minutes because of early foul trouble. He is one of the best defensive players in this Grizzlies team. Even though he had 7 blocks in the game, his lack of game time did hurt Memphis’ defensive game.

Steven Adams went scoreless the whole game. Interestingly, he didn’t even attempt a single shot while letting Karl-Anthony Towns dominate him.

While Adams is signed for his defensive and rebounding abilities, he only managed 3 rebounds playing 24 minutes.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, on the other hand, had a great game. Anthony Edwards scored 36 points in his playoff debut. And, Karl-Anthony Towns had a double-double with 29 points and 13 rebounds.

Ja Morant helped the Grizzlies earn their highest ever seed this season was stunned by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the playoff opener.

But, if the Memphis Grizzlies want to come back stronger, they need to fire on all cylinders. They need their role players to fire on all cylinders and help Ja Morant in order to win this series.

Who do you think will win this series?
