Fulham promoted to Premier League and land £200m windfall as Marco Silva’s side make instant return from Championship
FULHAM are officially back in the big time after a brief one-year hiatus.
A 3-0 win over Preston North End at Craven Cottage secured promotion to the Premier League – plus a whopping £200million windfall.

A shock defeat away at Derby on Good Friday, followed by Nottingham Forest’s win on Monday, meant the promotion party was briefly put on hold.
But an Aleksandar Mitrovic double, plus a Fabio Carvalho strike, ensured Fulham’s promotion back to the top-flight at the first time of asking.
Marco Silva’s side did it with four games to spare, and banked a mouthwatering sum of money in the process.
It will be a third season in the last five competing against the country’s elite.

Previous promotions in 2017-18 and 2019-20, both through the play-offs, resulted in immediate relegation back to the second tier.
This time though Fulham are all but certain to boast the added gloss of Championship winners.
Silva and Co lead second-place Bournemouth by nine points after tonight’s result, with the Cherries having just five games left to play.
The west Londoners have blown away the competition this season – largely thanks to the goalscoring exploits of Serbian striker Mitrovic.

Goals this evening were Mitrovic’s 39th and 40th of an incredible campaign.
It smashes the previous Championship record of goals in a season set 12 months ago by Brentford’s Ivan Toney, who scored 31.
Mitrovic though has hit 40… with four games still left to go.
