‘Not a Fair Fight’: Aaron Rodgers Sizes Up Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen Ahead of Huge Clash Also Involving Tom Brady
Last Summer, when the Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers played Tom Brady on the golf course, the veteran had a clear edge over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB. The fifth edition of The Match, a golf exhibition event, is set to begin with four top-tier quarterbacks from the NFL. But Aaron Rodgers seems to have won the verbal banter already.
Tom Brady, Josh Allen & Patrick Mahomes are the other quarterbacks participating in the event. While Rodgers and Brady have a decent hold over the game, Mahomes and Allen are amateurs. It seems the Packers’ QB is trying to take advantage of the situation by weighing their abilities as a professional golfer.
Aaron Rodgers reacts to the pairings
The reigning NFL MVP is no stranger to playing golf at a professional level. Even though he claims to be an occasional player. His records do not justify them. Rodgers is listed as a 4.6 handicap by the Wisconsin State Golf Association, and Brady was reportedly an 8.1 handicap before last year’s match.
On April 17th, Tom Brady was the first person to make a cryptic tweet regarding the event by tagging the other three quarterbacks. Later he shared the line-ups for the event, which states that Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers will team together to play against the young quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.
Soon, Rodgers came up with his acknowledgment tweet but had a sarcastic remark in it. “Not a fair fight. Me & Tom Brady Vs. Patrick Mahomes Josh Allen” Rodgers tweeted on Tuesday.
Not a fair fight.

Indeed, to some extent, statistically, his predictions happen to be true. This is the third time Brady will be participating in the event, and Rodgers is a great player too. Last July, Rodgers and Bryson DeChambeau defeated Brady and Phil Mickelson, 3 and 2, in the fourth edition of the event. It was held at The Reserve at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana.

This year it is scheduled to take place at the Wynn Golf Club at Wynn Las Vegas, and the event will be aired on June 1. Unfortunately, the only regret that Tom Brady will have is not able to make up for the loss he had against Rodgers. Because he is teamed up with his former rival for the upcoming edition.
Rodgers had an opportunity to play with the former American President
The former Super Bowl Champion once had the esteemed privilege to play with the then-American president Barack Obama in 2016. “It was my best round of the year, thankfully. … I want to play well out there and obviously, you walk on the first tee with the leader of the free world — who’s competitive — [and] I didn’t want to go out there and embarrass myself. Luckily I put together a decent round and made some putts. But I was very nervous at the first tee” Rodgers said while interacting with the reporters.
The quarterback shined in such a high-pressure game, carding a round of 75 at The Courses at Andrews Air Force Base. Well, it would be an opportunity for the veteran to show some magic again on the golf course along with Tom Brady to his side.
