“Takes a Chunk Out of Me”- Mike Tyson Narrates a Near Fatal Encounter With His Pet Tiger on the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast

Mike Tyson is a rare name who transcended the sport of boxing. He had the eyes of the world on him even when he wasn’t booked to step into the squared circle. ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ always lived life to the fullest and splurged extravagantly. This resulted in him having wild stories to share with events in his life being similar to action movies. One of them included a tiger and a hand. Yeah. Not a good combination.

Tyson was always fascinated with pigeons and tigers. The former heavyweight champion’s obsession with tigers was wildly publicized and gained a cult status.

That being said, tigers are predators and pets to be tamed in no way. Tyson learned about this in a different way and shared a near-fatal that stemmed from his ignorance of the nature of the big cats on the latest episode of the UFC commentator’s podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.

Yeah, I had three at one time. And they all wanna think that I am lying, they all wanna think… I had to gotta give him a tetanus shot…this baby takes a chunk out of me.”

When asked about how bad it was, Tyson replied, “I had to take like seven stitches, eight stitches… I was worried about it getting into my veins.”

Mike Tyson let go of his tiger after a horrific incident

Mike Tyson’s possession of these animals only grew his notoriety more, but he eventually paid the price for housing the big cats. Although it was no direct fault of his own, he paid compensation to a lady who got her arm ripped off by one of his tigers.

Tyson said that she jumped the fence and trespassed on his property. She then began playing with the tiger, which led to serious repercussions. The woman got her arm torn off, for which Tyson had to pay $250k as compensation.

Moreover, Mike Tyson had to release the tigers to a sanctuary because they were getting big and it was too dangerous to house them as domestic pets. ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ now owns a pigeon coop and regularly tends to them day in and day out.
