Not known, clear with picture deskA JD Sports shopper revealed how she got Nike trains for £64.99 instead of £100 by going to the kids’ section[/caption]

On the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains group, she wrote that she got a pair of £100 trainers for £64.99 – and shared a snap of her purchase.

She wrote: “This may be common knowledge but just in case – thought I’d share as it could save a lot of people a fortune!!

“I went into JD to find some Nike Air Force 1s.

“I naturally went straight to the ladies section and tried on a size 6, I couldn’t see the mint ones I was after so I tried the plain white.

“I then showed the shop assistant my phone where I had the Nike website loaded with the mint ones to ask if they had these in stock, but realised the screen I was showing was actually junior.

“These go all the way up to a size 6, the man confirmed that junior sizes are identical to adult sizes all the way up to 6, but a fraction of the price because you don’t pay tax on them!

“So the identical white Air Force 1s in the ladies section were £100, two shelves away on the junior shelf.. £64.99!!

“In the end I ordered directly from Nike because I loved the green.

“Wondering how much money I could have saved over the years if I’d have known adult size 6 is identical to junior size 6.”

Many people praised the hack and said they either already did buy kids’ shoes, or wanted to.

One said: “Ooh I’m a 6 and spent years jealous of those who could buy from kids for cheaper!! How did i not know this.”

Another commented: “I have always bought junior trainers being a size 6 myself purely cause they r a fraction of the cost of ladies, the only difference I find sometimes is the fitting, but to be honest for the money I save its worth it.”

And a third wrote: “I’ve done that before now, I’m usually a size 6, but, depending on where I shop, sometimes I can get a 5 1/2, which is classed as junior, and cheaper.”
