Scottie Pippen Exposed Michael Jordan for Cheating Security Guard Just to Fuel His Love for Gambling

As we all have heard, Michael Jordan had a passion for gambling. Jordan would place bets while playing golf with his friends or on games. He would even gamble with his bodyguards before the game. Moreover, he was also a big-time blackjack player and would play at casinos for hours on end.

Though this one time, Jordan cheated while betting on a halftime show. There are several shows and games that are set up for the fans in the arena. Some of the most popular ones would be a half-court shot for an exciting prize, guess the hat, and other games. Michael did not like to lose, as he cheated on several bets.

Michael Jordan knew the outcome beforehand

In an interview with The Jump, Scottie Pippen confirmed the story of Michael cheating on a game that was displayed on the jumbotron. In the halftime game in which the fans would guess, they displayed the hat which had the ball under it on the jumbotron. The arena’s video crew told Jordan the right answer before the game.

Michael took this opportunity to bet on his teammates and win every time. Pippen said that Michael never bet on him but he did bet on the security guard, John Capps.

“… but Capps would bet Michael every game. The only way Capp would win if he was able to pick the right ball. Because, if Michael pick, obviously he knew he was gonna win.” said Pippen.

Michael had an unfair advantage over the John Capps, but still managed to win quite a lot. Pippen said that Michael probably made about $4,100. This was because the team had half the games played in Chicago, out of the 82-game season. And Michael would bet $100 on each game.
