“A YouTuber And a Tik Toker” – Tommy Fury Says Jake Paul Fight Will Be a Step Down For Him

The British light heavyweight contender, Tommy Fury will face Daniel Bocianski at his brother, Tyson Fury’s undercard on Saturday. In a recent interview, Fury mentioned that Jake Paul will be a step below his current opponent.

Tommy Fury was talking to a reporter from the Queensberry Promotions.

During the conversation, the reporter asked Fury about his thoughts on fighting Paul. He asked, “Do you think that the fight with Jake Paul is something that you still want to approach? Or do you want to continue fighting on cards like this?”

In response, Fury mentioned that he is letting things take their course. He said, “You know, if the Jake Paul fight comes, it comes. You know that’s my mindset on that.”

He even mentioned that Paul would be an easy opponent, by saying, “You know I don’t need to train to beat him. He’s an easy touch.” 

Fury goes on to say that if Paul wants to fight, it can be set with a single phone call. But, his current focus is on Saturday night, and only after that will he address ‘the Pauls of the world.’

The reporter then asked Fury if Paul would be a step below his current opponent.

In response, he replied, “100 percent you know, Jake Paul wouldn’t beat this guy I’m going to fight on Saturday. This guy that I fight on Saturday will slap Jake, won’t be over and around, because he’s an actual boxer.”

Fury also did not miss the opportunity to take a dig at Paul. He said, “Jake Paul is a YouTuber and a Tik Toker is what you call it. And you’ll see the true colors of Jake Paul when he gets it tough in a fight. Back door job, that’s what he’s capable of.”

Tommy Fury will face Polish boxer, Daniel Bocianski in Tyson Fury versus Dillian undercard, at the Wembley Stadium in London.

The fight will mark the highly anticipated return of Fury to the ring after an 8-month-long hiatus. Fury was last seen in the ring on August 2021, when he faced Anthony Taylor and won by decision.
