Billionaire Bill Gates Was Once Accused of Influencing LeBron James and NBA’s Biggest Event of the 2000s

LeBron James is one of the biggest stars in the sporting world. Into his 19th season and still reaching great heights. He averaged over 30 points per game before the Los Angeles Lakers fell out of the play in spots. Even at 37, James looked sharp for most of the season, dropping masterclasses and breaking records. He played over 50 games and influenced the Laker’s season positively, probably the only plus from their season.

Talking about veteran players and legends of the game, Chris Paul is one player that certainly fits the bill. 16 years in the NBA, 4th most steals and 3rd most assists in NBA history. Both those positions that he achieved this season. Chris Paul has played for 5 franchises. In his 17th season as well with the Phoenix Suns, he has been really effective the whole season.

Both superstars have been excellent friends since their time in the US national. Over the years, they have publicly shown that they are in touch and said a lot of good things about each other. The two veterans admire and inspire each other. They have all of their careers.

An elite dinner featuring LeBron James and Bill Gates

Two NBA superstars LeBron James and Chris Paul once dined with a pair of billionaire titans of industry Warren Buffett and Bill Gates in a private room at a posh Las Vegas restaurant. The elite dinner took place in the summer of 2008.

Many fans had theories it was the richest man in America, Bill Gates, that influenced LeBron James’ decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat when his contract ended. Cavaliers fans still feel jilted by “The Decision” can only wonder whether Buffett and Gates advised LeBron to take his talents to South Beach.
