Charles Leclerc Makes Witty Revelation on His Insane Move at the Imola GP

No matter who you are, you are always learning new things behind an F1 car, including Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque learned a very creative way to look at who’s following you without the use of side-view mirrors, all thanks to all the rain yesterday at Imola. Ahead of the free practice 1 and sprint qualifying, it was pouring on the circuit.

This led to a lot of cars spinning during the practice. If this continues, we will definitely see some interesting results at the sprint and the race on Sunday.

Charles Leclerc uses some unorthodox methods to check who’s following

The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix Fp1 started soaking wet, leading to a lot of changes ahead of the practice session. The hour-long practice session witnessed a lot of cars spinning around because of low tire temperatures. The current points leader Charles Leclerc also spun around in his Ferrari. But he quickly gained control of his car.

Leclerc shared the video of his spin on Instagram. And added a pinch of humor to it. Leclerc shared this video on his story with the caption, “Couldn’t see in my mirrors so I was just checking who was behind ”

However, Leclerc quickly gained control of his car and no harm was done. The whole situation could’ve been worse if the car or Charles sustained any damage.

But luckily for Charles and Ferrari, that wasn’t the case as they finished FP1 without incident.

Qualifying reaction from Charles

Leclerc will be a little disappointed in himself after the qualifying result. He finished behind the Red Bull of Max Verstappen.

Well, that’s P2 for tomorrow’s sprint race ! A bit disappointed but it is the way it is. Still a long weekend ahead

This will mean Charles will start the sprint behind his childhood rival. Hardly the end of the world as he and his car are more than capable of beating anyone, especially in this current Formula 1 season.

Charles starting in second is far from a bad result ahead of the sprint. But he would want to make up the place for the race. The results of the sprint also converts into championship points as well as the starting grid for the race.

It will be interesting to see if Charles can beat Max for the pole position. Let’s gear up for the sprint!
