John Daly Produces a Magical Bunker Shot on the Champions Tour

While it has been some time since his latest win, fans are always excited to see John Daly play. The golf icon has created a name for himself over the years, mostly focused on his charming personality on the course. Daly is currently playing the ClubCorp Classic in Texas and will be hosting the inaugural PGA TOUR Champions event.

Daly, along with many other celebrities and golfers, announced their presence at the Las Colinas Country Club in Texas. With celebrities and professional golfers teaming up, the tournament offers up some unique entertainment.

Daly – who announced his participation on social media – seems to impress with his skills in Texas.

John Daly wows at 18th during the ClubCorp Classic

On the 18th, Daly ended up in the bunker. Now, while the shot was fairly challenging, not all golfers might be able to pull it off. Daly remained determined, holing the shot with impressive skill. The commentators too, seemed impressed with Daly, mentioning that this was indeed the correct way to save par.

Of course, fans remained impressed with the shot Daly pulled off. One added that as he has ended up in the bunker twice in a day, a shot like this is certainly appreciated. Many just commented with a fire emoji, simply enjoying the clip shared with them.

The tournament, which began this year, was already hyped due to the favorable pro-golfer-celebrity combo. Daly, who usually generates his own vibe on the course, would only add to the fun weekend.

Marcus Allen, Ray Allen, Tony Romo, and Adam Thielen are a few of the celebrity golfers lined up to play. Furthermore, a $2 million purse makes it an appealing choice.

How has Daly been performing?

That being said, the 55-year-old last played the Rapiscan Systems Classic, finishing T42. His last Champions Tour win, however, was the Insperity Invitational back in 2017.

A recent highlight of Daly’s impressive career was the PNC Championship late last year. Daly and his son finished first, beating Tiger Woods and his son Charlie in the process. As the season continues, one can only hope for some more iconic performances from Daly.
