REPORTS: Tom Brady Saves Tampa Bay Buccaneers Millions With Unforeseen Move

Tom Brady continues to be the messiah for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He rules out his 3-week retirement period, making up his mind to come back for another run in the Bay. He now gives his franchise some room to maneuver underneath the salary threshold. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have reportedly revised Tom Brady’s contract in order to avoid a salary-cap constraint ahead of the 2022 Draft.

With the resurgence of Tom Brady, The Buccaneers have once again become the league’s most desirable team. Tampa Bay has revived some essential free agents, just like they did the year before. The NFC South champions may be able to keep more quality as a result of this restructure. As of now, the unsigned players include Rob Gronkowski, Ndamukong Suh, and Jason Pierre-Paul, and we might have a positive answer over that soon.

The move will provide the organization with much-needed flexibility heading into the 2022 NFL Draft, which begins on April 28. The Buccaneers had just $4.8 million in salary-cap space, ranking them the sixth-lowest in the NFL.  This move will add some more fuel to the cap, making them ready for the Draft. Brady has entered into a contract renegotiation for the second time in its three years with Tampa Bay.

Brady is 44 years old and shows no signs of stopping. The future Hall of Famer will begin his 23rd season in Tampa. Furthermore, with the mega-savings maneuver, Bucs can use the extra cap money to sign prospective recruits or free agents. Tampa Bay currently has six picks this year, and the Brady impact will surely stay as they take their chances on the Draft.
