“Best Shot He Took All Night”: NBA Twitter Mocks Kevin Durant After He Lets His Frustration Out During Nets’ Game 3 Loss to Celtics

Kevin Durant and his performances throughout the playoffs have been disappointing. He has neither individually performed well nor inspired his team to rise above their potential. As a player who is considered one of the best in the world, he has done little to impact the game against Boston Celtics. The latter has effectively kept him out of the game with a suffocating defensive structure. It has made him look surrounded and claustrophobic. Durant looks like a shell of his former self with the points he’s putting up on the board right now.

It was no different during Game 3 of the Celtics Nets Playoff Game. Celtics absolutely dominated the Brooklyn team. They proved why they are rated as one of the best defensive teams in the world. Durant and his partner in crime, Kyrie Irving, did not even get a sniff.

During the final quarter, Jayson Tatum sealed the win while rising above Durant to ensure that. The latter, frustrated, threw the ball angrily. Consequently, NBA Twitter had a gala time at this moment.

It was a hugely disappointing moment for the Nets. Tatum soared above all to deliver his team a victory. Durant, meanwhile, was defeated by a younger competitor. Obviously, Twitter had a field day with this incident. These are some of the choicest tweets for the reader’s pleasure:

Durant, meanwhile, will be left to rue over his performances for the Nets during these Playoffs. After a 103-109 loss at Game 3, there is a genuine possibility of a sweep taking place. No one would be surprised either. At least those who would have been watching the playoffs won’t. Durant’s performances have been abysmal. In this game, he just got 16 points and had a -2 during the entire game. He’s been having a 31.7% Field Goal Percentage throughout these matches.

Nets fans and supporters of Durant are saying that he will blow up and perform. He has blown up, alright. But it was his own team instead. He genuinely looked terrified, taking a shot against Jayson Tatum. He was looking rudderless the entire game. The entire offense of Brooklyn depends on him and Kyrie, yet except for the first game for the latter, they haven’t made their mark. Bruce Brown has performed better than them in the last 2 games.

For now, things look sealed for the Brooklyn Nets. Boston is going through and they won’t be able to do a thing about it. Durant has a lot to ponder, considering his performance.
