HELEN Flanagan has candidly revealed she’s had a “challenging” time parenting over the past few weeks.

The 31-year-old, who is mum to Matilda, six, three-year-old Delilah and Charlie, one, with her fiancé Scott Sinclair, told her followers she had made a series of decisions to help make her life easier.

The star has decided to stop breastfeeding Charlie

Former Corrie star Helen plans to stop breastfeeding and will be getting childcare for the first time.

She explained: “I’ve decided to stop feeding. I’ve really enjoyed nursing Charlie but the past month I’ve just had enough. Today was the first day I’m trying to gradually wean him off during the day (he feeds too much).

“I love being a mum and I’m so grateful for my babies, but I’ve just felt so drained so making some changes.”

Helen continued:  “Found the past weeks quite challenging with mum life. I think it’s quite good to be honest as we see such perfect images of motherhood on social media.

Corrie’s Helen Flanagan devastated as beloved family member dies

“I’ve never had any childcare for Charlie but I’ve decided to get some week. To help him eat more and get off the boob. It’s just different stages and they will pass.”

Hele had previously told how Charlie refused to eat – favouring breast milk instead.

Earlier this month, the star – who is best loved for playing Rosie Webster on the cobbles – revealed all three of children had scarlet fever.

The contagious infection is a bacterial bug that causes a distinctive red rash and mainly affects children.

The illness is caused by Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria, which can manifest on the skin and throat.

It commonly affects children aged between five and 15 and is spread by breathing in bacteria from airborne droplets, touching the skin of an infected person or sharing contaminated towels, baths, clothes or bed linen.

Helen and footballer Scott got engaged in 2018 after nine years of dating.
