Here’s How Kanye West’s Ex Kim Kardashian Featured on the Hood of a NASCAR Car

Just when you think Kim Kardashian has done it all, that she can no longer surprise you, she does. The ex-wife of rapper Kanye West has built one of the biggest empires in the cosmetic and self-care industry. However, not many know that one of the steps in her journey to the top passed through NASCAR.

Yes, Kim Kardashian was once associated with a NASCAR team.

In 2010, Tommy Baldwin Racing paired up with Kardashian, a partnership that led to the influencer’s face being part of the Sephora paint scheme on Mike Bliss’ #36 Impala.

“We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Kim for this race and getting her involved in our sport,” team owner Tommy Baldwin said. “She’ll certainly bring a lot of star power to the No. 36 Chevrolet.”

In the press release, Kardashian had expressed her excitement at experiencing the world of NASCAR “up close”. “It’s going to be truly amazing to see our car out there competing and exposing my new fragrance to millions of racing fans,” she added.

Bizarre NASCAR sponsorships over the years

If you thought Kim Kardashian having her face on the bonnet of a stock car promoting a perfume was bizarre, wait till you see the following sponsorships that make Kim K’s face look filterless.

There’s the tale of redneckjunk.com, a sponsor that concerned NASCAR so much, for obvious reasons, that they made Derek Cope remove it from his car. But that wasn’t the end of the brand’s pursuit of a stock car bill.

It was reported that they later changed their name to rjunk.com, something that didn’t work out unsurprisingly either.

Another such bizarre sponsorship was Boudreavx’s Butt Paste, spread over the stock car of Jeremy Clemens.

Then there’s Mark Martin, one of the most well-known drivers from the sport, donning a Viagra sponsorship over his No.6 car.

For whatever reason, there are moments when NASCAR teams and drivers find sponsorships that either become the butt of the jokes, or become controversial. Regardless, sponsorships are one of the biggest ingredients in stock car racing.

So whatever gets one thru the night, it’s alright.
