Watch: Unseen Clip of Nets Fans Chanting “We Want Boston” Results in Ultimate Karma for Kevin Durant and Co.

The first-round series for the Brooklyn Nets against the Celtics has not been what the Nets fans had in mind. With their team losing 3-0, and their stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have been struggling. The Celtic defense has left both the stars with no answer and has been struggling mightily against them.

Kevin Durant is going through one of the worst playoff stretches of his career. Nets are also yet to see their trade deadline acquisition Ben Simmons to play for them. There is a real possibility of a sweep now for the Boston Celtics. If the Nets are swept in the first round, it will be nothing short of a disaster for them as they were the title favorites entering the season. A video which has surfaced now suggests Brooklyn fans wanting to play Boston in round 1, which in hindsight doesn’t seem good right now. See it below.

Brooklyn’s season of failure?

Last year when Brooklyn lost in the second round to the eventual champion Bucks in a seven-game series, it was seen optimistically. There was hope entering the season with that The Big 3 finally getting enough time to play together. It would be a mere formality before the Nets reached the NBA Finals. But with many injuries and the James Harden trade, the team was again left to figure out its team chemistry entering the postseason.

With Ben Simmons reported to finally make his debut in game 4, it is to be seen whether his inclusion in the line-up will make enough difference for Nets to avoid a sweep. There will be pressure on him, no doubt. But it will be Kevin Durant who will be scrutinized the most in case of an eventual sweep.

Boston legitimate title contendors?

Boston Celtics have put on a defensive masterclass in this first round clash. And with Jayson Tatum, their offense has been working great too. With injuries in the Buck’s camp, then Celtics might suddenly have a great shot at the NBA Championship. Under Ime Udoka, they have been the best team in basketball since January.

Boston right now has a great chance to represent east in the finals. All they need to do is to maintain the consistency that has led them to within one game of sweeping one of the major title contenders. The road will only get tougher, but this Celtics team seems equipped enough to win it all.
