Woman shares genius hack which stopped her rug slipping all over the place – and it’s not what you think

A WOMAN has been praised for sharing a “genius” hack to stop her rug from slipping.

While there are tonnes of products on the market to prevent rugs from sliding all over the place, they all involve you having to shell out.

She used a glue gun to apply wavy lines of glue to the bottom of the rug and waited for it to dry before turning it back over@knapptime_crafts/Tiktok

But one clever lady has come up with a brilliant way to avoid any slippages, using something you probably already have in your house.

“My rug kept slipping…” Laura Knapp wrote over the top of her TikTok video.

“So I did this.”

She then showed herself using a glue gun to add wavy lines of glue across the bottom of the rug.

Once the glue had been left to dry, she turned the rug back over and showed how successful the lines were at stopping the rug from moving around.

“Now it doesn’t slip!” she concluded.

People were quick to comment on the clever hack, with one person writing: “Oh I gotta try this.”

“Brilliant!” another added.


But others weren’t as convinced, with many of them pointing out that there are other products out there that aren’t going to break the bank.

“Just spit balling here… maybe just buy an anti slip pad?” one person wrote.

“buy a rug gripper. I can’t believe you used glue,” another added.
