On the ‘No Challenges Remaining’ podcast, Serena’s former coach talked about Saniyya’s role in the film. He said, “I actually when I went to LA, I gave Saniyya Sydney a lesson. They actually reached out to me because she came so intrenched with Rick Macci in the movie. They had to meet me. Further, he added, “This is crazy stuff. She is holding the racket like Venus, she put her hands down like Venus, she had a little hitch on the forehand like Venus. It was cloning on steroids. It blew me away. Then, when I heard she was left-handed and had to play right-handed, and she wasn’t even an advanced player, you got to understand that’s a whole different animal. It just showed me the details of Warner Bros. that they put into this because if someone even hits the ball wrong, you gonna say, well, it looks kind of fake, don’t look like good, but it looked exactly like Venus.”
