NFL Legend Told Michael Jordan He Would “Beat His A**” If He Played for Chicago Bulls
When The Last Dance was released, many people got a glimpse of Michael Jordan’s legendary career on their screens. One of those was MJ’s close and lifelong friend, Roy Green. He and Michael have been friends ever since the Bulls drafted MJ in 1984. Over 35 years of friendship and countless stories between them.
One of the amazing stories is about them golfing together. For decades, Michael has loved the sport of golf and he has played it whenever he is not playing basketball. He is also a good friend of the legendary Tiger Woods. Recently, Roy Green recalled a story about him, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and Tiger Woods playing golf. MJ also once accompanied Woods for a golf session years ago in the Wachovia Golf Championship Pro-Am event.
“MJ and Tiger are very, very similar personalities. So their bets were totally different from what I was making. So on almost every hole, they’d say, ‘Roy, that’s fine. Get out of the way, man.’ They’d just give me mine, because they’re trying to make about $1,000 or something, and I’m here at $25 or $30. — So I’d win almost every hole because they didn’t care.” Roy said about how the two legends had similar personalities. Green also told how he and MJ were similar in terms of personalities and their friendship.
