PIERS Morgan says he is shocked Donald Trump agreed to talk him for the launch of his new TalkTV show.

During Piers‘ exclusive, no-holds-barred interview, the ex-President blasted Meghan & Harry and reflected on his term in the White House.

But this morning the former GMB host said he was “surprised” Trump agreed to the interview after he was critical of the US president’s final year in power.

Morgan told Times Radio: “I was surprised he agreed to do the interview, because I was very critical of him during his final year of office.”

He continued: “I’ve been hammering him in columns repeatedly and on the airways over January 6.

“So I was surprised, but he agreed. I went down to Palm Beach to Mar-a-Lago and we had it all set up.

“And literally, about eight minutes before we started, I get a visitation from his people saying “this is a problem”.

Between 9pm-10pm each day on TalkTV the former GMB host will present his verdict on the day’s global events with an hour of debate and straight-talking interviews through his daily news show The Talk.
