Selling Sunset star Chelsea Lazkani has opened up about her tense relationship with Davina Potratz on the Netflix show, explaining the root of why they didn’t get on.
In season 5 of the reality series, Chelsea was introduced as a new member of the Oppenheim Group, hailing from London.
At one point in the recently-released episodes, the newcomer sat down for a one-on-one with Davina, after hearing Christine Quinn express her view that Davina had prioritised being liked by the majority of the group over their friendship.
Their meeting did not go down well, with footage from their conversation showing Davina saying: ‘I think when you don’t know someone and you come at them like this, then it’s difficult to demand respect.’
Chelsea then replied: ‘Wow, I’m going to be so honest with you. I could puke right now. Like, this is absurd.’
During a recent interview, the newest Selling Sunset cast member was asked whether she believes Christine’s opinion that Davina wants to be liked is accurate, saying that she believes they ‘differ on values greatly’.

‘I’m very much a straight shooter and a straight-up person, and what you see is what you get. I think that maybe she’s a little bit more Switzerland, and that’s totally OK, but you’re going to have a hard time with someone like me, because I always want to know where I stand with you and what you think of me,’ she said.
She added that while she agrees with Christine’s conclusion, she is ‘still cordial with Davina’.
‘If you stand for nothing you fall for everything, and I think you have to be opinionated, especially in this office,’ Chelsea told Entertainment Tonight.
‘And I think the moment that you shrink yourself, I personally start to think, “Ooh, is this person being genuine, is this person being authentic?” And I could be wrong.’
Chelsea recently spoke to Metro.co.uk about the reaction she’s had from fans since it was announced she was joining the cast, stating: ‘Everyone’s like Black Girl Magic! I’ve been hyped up, I love it!
The 29-year-old said: ‘For me, it was so important to not only show who I am being a mother and a real estate agent, but to really sprinkle some of that Black excellence, because I think it’s not shown enough.’

Chelsea joined the office shortly after impressing Jason Oppenheim with her ability to sell multi-million dollar homes.
Having proven a hit among the majority of her coworkers, she ended up becoming inseparable from Christine, who recently announced she was starting her own company.
Selling Sunset is available to watch on Netflix.
