Freddy Hall dead at 37: Tributes pour in as former Northampton and Limerick keeper passes away in car crash
FORMER footballer Freddy Hall has been killed in a car crash aged 37.
The Bermudan reportedly died in his home country on Sunday night.

Hall played college soccer in the United States, before embarking on a professional career in England.
He represented Northampton Town, Chester, Oxford City and AFC Telford United – with a brief stint at MLS side Toronto in between.
Hall earned ten caps for his country between 2011 and 2015, before becoming a popular figure at Irish side Limerick between 2015 and 2018.
Northampton wrote in a club statement: “We are deeply saddened to learn of his passing.

“Our thoughts are with Freddy’s family and friends at this very sad time.”
While Limerick added: “Freddy served the club with distinction during his time here.
“The club extends its sincere condolences to Freddy’s family at his tragic passing.”
Telford wrote: “All at AFC Telford United are saddened to hear of the death of our former keeper Freddy Hall.

“Freddy joined the club in Oct 2014 playing under Liam Watson & Steve Kittrick during our season in the Conference Premier.
“All our thoughts are with Freddy’s family and friends.”
Toronto FC posted on social media: “Toronto FC mourns the loss of goalkeeper Freddy Hall. Everyone at the club sends our condolences to his family and loved ones.”
While the Canadian club’s goalkeeper coach Terry Dunfield added: “Gutted to hear. RIP Freddy ”
Football writer Andrew Cunneen wrote of the popular stopper: “Would struggle to remember a player an entire city took to as quickly as Limerick did to Freddy Hall and that’s because of who he was as a player and a person in equal measure. Rest in Peace, Fred.”
Hall’s former Chester team-mate Craig Mahon tweeted: “Really sad to read this. He was a great lad. And part of the Chester fc family. Thoughts with his family and friends.”
