Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury latest: Bookies price up showdown after ‘I’ll cut you and chop you’ Fury claim

JAKE PAUL and Tommy Fury could finally meet in the ring later this year, with Ladbrokes offering 6/4 for the fight to take place in 2022.

Should the long talked about fight take place, Ladbrokes are pricing a win for Fury at 4/6, with a Paul victory priced at 11/8.

However, prior to Fury’s fight against Daniel Bocianski last weekend on the undercard of Tommy’s older half-brother Tyson’s fight with Dillian Whyte, Fury was as short as 8/13 favourite.

This means that Fury’s odds of beating Paul have drifted after an unconvincing fight at Wembley, where he beat the Pole on points.

However it didn’t stop Fury from giving a direct message to Paul live on TV after the fight.

He said: “If you want it, I’m here and I’m ready for you. I’ll cut you and chop you to bits.

“That lad in there [Bocianski] would kill Jake Paul on the spot, that lad’s a true professional. He’d slap Jake Paul.

“Jake Paul – I will end your career, you’re a bum and you’re no good. Let’s get this fight done.”

The two were scheduled to fight in December last year, but Fury was forced to pull out of the bout due to a bacterial chest infection and broken rib.

Saturday’s result means Fury now has an 8-0 professional record.

American social media personality Jake Paul also holds a 100% professional record, with a five wins out of five, four of which by knockout.

His most recent fight was in December 2021, when he knocked out Tyron Woodley, the mixed martial artist, defeating him for the second time.

In response to Fury’s direct addressing after his fight, Paul said: “Congrats on beating a 10-1 fighter. But that stadium was empty, when I fight the stadium is full. When Tommy fights no one gives a f***. And that’s in his home country.”

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “You could argue both Tommy Fury and Jake Paul are yet to face a quality opponent in the ring, and the latest odds suggest the bout the internet has been waiting for could well be on the cards in the coming months.”

He added: “Fury remains the odds-on favourite were the pair to finally meet, but after a disappointing display at Wembley on Saturday night, Jake Paul’s odds have actually shortened without him having to lift a finger.”
