The 2022 NFL draft is right around the corner. It is the biggest night of the season. The teams get some new and fresh faces on the roster. The draft this year seems to have a pretty strong lineup. There is a particular prospect who has the attention of the Chiefs QB, Patrick Mahomes.
Erik Ezukanma is a superstar receiver from Texas Tech. Mahomes attended the same college before getting drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs. The quarterback seemed impressed with the young hopeful after the two trained together recently.
A new prospect for the Washington Commanders?
The Washington Commanders are in a dire need of a wide receiver for the next season. They need a target to catch the ball from their quarterback, Carson Wentz. The contract status of the Pro Bowl WR Terry McLaurin is still up in the air. They do not have a stable offensive team at the moment. The Commanders are hoping to fill the gaps through the draft this year.

One of the strongest prospects for the position comes from Texas. In the form of Texas Tech’s high-flying offense in receiving Erik Ezukanma. The athlete is a total package with speed, agility, and strength. Not a lot of guys this size can move as quickly as Ezukanma. The receiver can do some serious damage on the field. He could be a perfect target for Wentz. The Commanders can really use an athlete of this stature.

The prospect seems to have impressed Mahomes a lot. The athlete was a team captain for three seasons. He has led Texas Tech’s high-flying offense in receiving for three successful seasons. He truly is a force to be reckoned with, many people are impressed with the ability of this young man.
