Shaquille O’Neal Gets a Brutal Reality Check After His Scathing Attack on Ben Simmons’ “Punk Move” for Not Playing Nets vs Celtics

Even though he got his move to the Brooklyn Nets at the trade deadline, Ben Simmons is yet to play a single minute for them. He was sidelined for the majority of the year due to injuries but many expected him to show up in the playoffs. One of them was NBA legend and notable analyst, Shaquille O’Neal.

But when the Nets announced he was not going to play in a crucial game 4, Shaq went off on him and said that Ben Simmons pulled off a punk move on the Nets. Soon after this, the 50-YO was given a harsh check on his take.

Multiple reports suggested that Ben Simmons will return to the Nets in game 4 of the series. The Nets desperately needed him as they are currently down 0-3 to the Boston Celtics. They have been dominated as Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have been shut down. The Nets needed Simmons to help them avoid the sweep and try and come back in the series. But after the loss in game 3, the Nets announced that Simmons will be out of game 4 as well.

NBA Fans mock Shaquille O’Neal for his take on Ben Simmons

Fans showed no mercy to Shaq, who called himself from the hood. They reminded Shaq where he came from and what is the difference between his life to that of the hood. Here are the best reactions:

Shaq is not from the hood nor has he ever lived there. That’s fine. I haven’t either, I just don’t pretend I have.

ShaQ should know better than to critic this young man. It’s easy to judge when you’re not in his circle. How about ask to sit down & have a chat with him. You’re a father, a leader. We want to understand his pov and see if he wants & needs help.

The Nets are on the verge of getting swept

When the playoffs started, the Nets emerged as one of the favorites to come out of the East. Many picked the Nets to sweep the Boston Celtics. The offensive juggernaut of Irving and Durant was considered too much for Boston. But a lot of people forgot, why the Celtics had the best defensive rating in the league.

In game 1, the Celtics shut down Durant, and they won a buzzer-beater from Jayson Tatum. In game 2, they took to another level as they shut down Durant and Irving successfully. They held Ky to just 10 points and Durant went 0-10 from the field in the second half. It was the same story in game 3, the Nets duo just could not shake the defense of the Celtics. They both scored 16 points each as the Nets fell to 0-3.

They will hope that Irving and Durant finally step up in game 4. Otherwise, the Nets will be looking at a sweep.
