“What Are You Doing?” – Brad Keselowski’s Spotter & Ex-hendrick Motorsports Ace TJ Majors Questions Ford’s Strategy in Talladega
NASCAR was in Talladega Superspeedway for the tenth round of the Cup Series. The GEICO 500 race has concluded and Ross Chastain has come out as the winner in the most incredible way. However, the race couldn’t fetch much for Brad Keselowski. As the Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing driver finished his race in 23rd place, his spotter wasn’t quite happy with the strategy.
Brad drives the number 6 Ford Mustang for the team he co-owns. However, his spotter TJ Majors isn’t quite happy with the way Ford strategized their Talladega race. The Hendrick Motorsports legend has recently opened up on this on Door Bumper Clear with Brett Griffin and Freddie Kraft.
Talking about this, TJ conveyed, “Ford has literally controlled, I feel like every Plague race we’ve been at. For the last five years and it’s because they worked together and all of a sudden yesterday, they split the strategy. I don’t know how many Fords were there in that race? Like 12 maybe, 14 like that? They put 6&6s or 7&7s or whatever it was.”

“I don’t know the thought process of it because in Plague races it essentially every time strengthens in numbers. The more cars you have in your pack, the faster your pack’s going to be. So whoever thought of the ideas, split your pack in half, what are you doing? I don’t understand.”, Dale Earnhardt Jr’s former spotter further stated.
How did Brad Keselowski fare at Talladega Superspeedway with his Ford?
Brad started the race from 15th position after finishing his qualification with 53.626 on the timesheet, that’s 0.699 secs adrift from pole sitter Christopher Bell. However, Brad has just finished a place behind Bell when he crossed the finish line in 23rd place.

Talking about Ford as the manufacturer, they are currently in the third position out of three. The top position is occupied by Chevrolet who has six wins in ten races so far. Whereas Toyota and Ford each have two. Considering the points, Chevrolet leads the leaderboard with 371 points, followed by Toyota with 342 points and Ford with 337 points.
