Can I still get pregnant if my husband takes Viagra?

DEAR DEIDRE: THIS might be a silly question but can I still get pregnant if my husband has to use Viagra to get an erection?

The internet is telling me all sorts of things and I just want to know if we are making things more difficult for ourselves while we are trying to conceive.

My husband has had some trouble getting an erection – so he’s started taking Viagra

I’m 29 and my partner is 38. We’ve been together for five years and trying for a baby for around eight months.

But you are right about the pressure. It could be causing his erection problems. Encourage him to talk to his GP to check there is no underlying cause.
