F1 Twitter Goes Manic as Lewis Hamilton Refuses to Be Written Off With Latest War Cry
Lapped by Max Verstappen, held back by Pierre Gasly, and zero points defined Lewis Hamilton last weekend. They reduced the seven-time world champion to dabbling in the midfield as his partner made a sensational drive.
Leaving everyone shocked and gagged, Hamilton looked nervous and sad throughout his interviews. For fans, it’s a fact hard to digest, and for rivals, it’s a chance to salt Hamilton’s wounds.
Lewis Hamilton roars back at critics with a cryptic message
Hamilton, since the Imola Grand Prix, has faced some salty arrows targeted at him. As he keeps his head down and tries to cope, one can tell that the Britisher is frustrated. From people questioning his talent, trolling him, mocking him, and even asking him to retire, Lewis has seen some vile words being thrown at him. Nevertheless, his demeanor and persona have never pushed him to lose his calm over things.
In a recent post on his Instagram, Hamilton hinted at how he felt about things. He wrote:” Working on my masterpiece, I’ll be the one to decide when it’s finished”. Posing in the Mercedes Petronas Garage, Hamilton looked stylish in the Denim look. Twitter obviously had to react to the champ’s post, and poured in messages of support, appreciation, and, well, some trolling.

Many believe that this was Lewis’ way of clapping back at Helmut Marko’s comments. The Red Bull boss recently expressed his views when asked about how he felt after Verstappen lapped Hamilton. In a classic Helmut way, he taunted: “I mean he was lapped by us… so, maybe he should have stopped last year, he is thinking, maybe.”
Hamilton is out of title contention as of now
Verstappen, on the other hand, took no shot at Hamilton after the tragedy. However, these comments can be understandably hurtful, given Mercedes and Red Bull have been rivals for the longest time. Both the teams sit on opportunities to attack the other one. Notably and unforgettably, last year filled the air with their vile and spiteful energies.

As Mercedes lacks pace as of now, they do not challenge Red Bull directly. In fact, Lewis’s eighth titular hopes are long gone, as only an act of God can turn things around for him and the Brackley outfit.
