Hollywood Megastar’s Caption About Shaquille O’Neal, The Rock and John Cena Still Hasn’t Been Decoded Almost a Decade Later

NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal has come across many celebrities, athletes, and even professional wrestlers. Most of Shaquille O’Neal’s moments with these celebrities and players occur because of his savage comebacks and humorous jokes. One such moment got tremendously hilarious for Shaquille O’Neal when a two-time Academy Award-winning actor met Shaq, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Charles Barkley, and John Cena.

However, this is where a twist comes because the two-time Academy Award-winning actor, Mark Wahlberg, did not encounter John Cena.

Mark Wahlberg, back in 2015, posted a picture on Facebook with a caption that fans globally have been scratching their heads off to decipher its meaning. So let’s try to crack what Mark Wahlberg meant in the photo he shared almost a decade ago.

What caption did Mark Wahlberg posted when he mentioned Shaquille O’Neal and others?

In 2013, Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson collaborated for an action-comedy movie named “Pain & Gain.“ On the occasion of promoting the film, the Hollywood megastars invited Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley to a weight lift-off competition.

After the Pain & Gain lift-off, Wahlberg posed with Shaq, Charles Barkley, and The Rock.

When Mark Wahlberg posted this picture as a throwback. He captioned it, “Shaq looks like he ate me, Charles, The Rock AND John Cena. #TBT.”

What Mark Wahlberg meant when he mentioned Cena in this picture was a pun intended for the popular John Cena tagline. In WWE, John Cena wore a t-shirt with the famed “You can’t see me!” catchphrase.

According to Wahlberg, John Cena posed with Shaquille O’Neal, Johnson, Barkley, and himself; it’s just “We can’t see him.”

The Hollywood actor had two puns fired in one shot

The NBA Hall of fame Shaquille O’Neal looks Giant in front of Dwayne Johnson, his fellow basketball mate, and Mark Wahlberg. However, Wahlberg’s caption is also based on John Cena’s “Trainwreck“ movie.

In the film “Trainwreck,” John Cena’s character was teased by Mark Wahlberg’s name when he watched a movie in a theatre. Steven (Cena’s character) corrects the person who called him Mark Wahlberg, but in a corniest and edgy manner.

“Mark Wahlberg is like a 150 pounds; I’m 250 lean. I look like Mark Wahlberg ate Mark Wahlberg,” Steven mentioned.

The two-time Academy Award-winning actor referred to Shaquille O’Neal as a callback from Cena’s ‘Trainwreck’ film. Therefore, Wahlberg joked about Shaq’s massive size, as he looks very tiny standing next to Shaq.

Who wondered why The Champ John Cena was invisible?
