‘Loved Every Minute Playing’ – Roger Federer Plays Tennis for the First Time Since Wimbledon 2021

In 2003, Roger Federer created the Roger Federer Foundation with a dream to help the poor and underprivileged children of Africa. Since then, he has been working continuously, working and visiting many countries to help their education system through his foundation. Also in 2020, the Swiss player organized an exhibition match against Rafael Nadal to raise money for his foundation. Recently, he paid a visit to Malawi, and he posted a picture on social media. Also, he played with some of the kids and shared his great experience.

In 2015, he visited the country for the very first time. That time also he shared a great experience with the kids of a pre-school supported by his Roger Federer Foundation. Now, he visited the country once more and talked to the minister of gender about the current situation of the country.

On Instagram, Roger posted a picture of where he was helping a kid. In the caption, he wrote, “Wonderful to see that we are having a real impact on the ground with the @rogerfederer.foundation… Access to quality early education is crucial as it is the foundation of all learning. I am so happy I made my way to Malawi.”

Later, he also played with some of the Malawian kids for the very first time probably for the first time since Wimbledon 2021, as he shared his experience on Instagram. He wrote, “Loved every minute playing… for the first time in Malawi…”

Meanwhile, during his visit to Malawi, He made an announcement to invest around $18 million in the Dowa DAPP Training Center. This investment will mainly focus on the infrastructure for the early education of children in this country. The Swiss tennis star also talked about investing more in the future, as he showed his commitment to the development of children’s education.

Federer to return in Basel in October

Earlier, fans went crazy after Roger announced his return tournament in Basel. Incidentally, this is Roger’s home tournament, and he has won this tournament 10 times in his career. With a 75-9 overall record, the 20-time Grand Slam champion will be eying for his 11th title here.

However, Roger will make his official on-court return at the Laver Cup, one month before the Basel tournament. Currently, he is still recovering from the knee surgery, which he went through last year after his Wimbledon quarter-final loss to Hubert Hurkacz
