‘Emotionless’ Michael Jordan’s Blunt Response to Allen Iverson’s Loving Tribute Could Have Hurt Any NBA Star

Love him or hate him, Michael Jordan is one of the greatest players ever. The Chicago Bulls legend dominated the entire league for around a decade and established himself as one of the greats.

However, his attitude gives people reasons to hate him. Jordan was known to be an upright leader who did not tolerate any nonsense among his teammates.

Interestingly enough, this attitude applied to his rivals as well. One of the best examples of Jordan being Jordan came with Allen Iverson.

The Hall of Famer talked about how Jordan gave him a cold response after Iverson expressed how much MJ meant to him and his career.

However, he has had his embarrassing moments on the court. One of the most embarrassing moments of Jordan’s career came when he faced a young Allen Iverson.

Iverson pulled off a fantastic move that knocked Jordan off his feet. Moreover, it seems Jordan has still not gotten over the incident.

Talking about MJ, Iverson touched upon one of his interactions with the Bulls legend. Iverson said, “We were talking. And I just kept telling him how much I loved him, and how much he meant to me.

He added, “You know, telling him I wouldn’t have had that vision of playing basketball if it wasn’t for him[Michael Jordan]. He was like, “You don’t love me that much, you wouldn’t cross me like that.””

This is not the first time Iverson has credited Jordan for his career. During his induction into the Hall of Fame in 2016, The Answer dedicated a segment of his speech to MJ.

Interestingly enough, when the two met on the basketball court, it did not end well for His Airness. The Philadelphia 76ers took on the Chicago Bulls on March 12, 1997.

During the game, Allen Iverson crossed over Jordan, which happened to become one of the greatest moments in NBA history.
