It’s official: James Corden will be leaving The Late Late Show in 2023.
The Gavin and Stacey star began helming the US late night programme in 2015, taking over from host Craig Ferguson.
He’s since gone on to become a big name in Hollywood, thanks to his Carpool Karaoke series and movie roles including Into The Woods, Peter Rabbit, Cats and The Prom.
Corden shared his homesickness for the UK back in 2020, but for now will likely remain in LA, where the show is filmed – alongside his wife, Julia, and the couple’s children.
Here’s what we know about their family life.
Who is James Corden’s wife Julia Carey?
Julia Corden (née Carey) is a TV producer, who has been married to James Corden since September 2012.

Not too much is known about Julia, though she is thought to be in her early 40s.
We do know she once worked for Save The Children, as she and James met at a 2009 event for the charity.
Mutual friend Dominic Cooper, who James co-starred with in the 2006 movie The History Boys, was the one to introduce them. And the rest, as they say, is history.
In a chat with People magazine, James revealed his nickname for Julia – Jules.
He also shared that his first words to his future bride were: ‘Hi, Jules. You might be the most beautiful woman in the world.’

Then he added: ‘We sat and we very jokingly kind of planned the rest of our lives together, an hour and a half after we met.
‘As a joke! We were just talking. And we were both talking about how much we felt like we were now past the notion of going out every night – that we had hit the age where the prospect of a quiet night in was glorious.’
The couple live together in LA, where James is, of course, quite famous now.
But funnily enough, in 2019 it was revealed Julia hadn’t ever watched a single episode of Gavin and Stacey.
How many children does James Corden have?
The couple married in 2012, but first welcomed their son Max Corden on March 22, 2011.
You can probably guess that Max’s godfather is… matchmaker Dominic Cooper.
Daughter Carey Corden came along on October 27, 2014, while Charlotte Corden was born on December 12, 2017.
What is James Corden’s net worth?
Now that James Corden is set to leave The Late Late Show, many are wondering how much the TV host makes.
While his salary is not reported, last year it was thought that Corden was worth around £50 million.
